This colorway was first developed as a Player Exclusive for University of North Carolina athletes. Jordan finally made this release public after much anticipation, but this time they swapped the embroidered UNC insignia on the tongue for their distinctive Jumpman design.

The top of this Jordan 3 is made of white tumbled leather, while the mudguards have elephant print grey and valor blue accents. The design is completed by a visible Air unit, a white rubber heel tab, and a grey outsole.
